About Me

Hi there and welcome to Sarah Gladman Photography.

I have been a photographer since I was 10 years old. In a family full of photographers, it was almost guaranteed that I would be keen to get behind my first camera – and I was.

Since the arrival of my four children I have practiced my skills on their (often fed-up) gorgeous faces and now I have extended my hand at photographing other families and their children.

I am only just beginning – there is a lot to learn (and to buy lol) when you become a photographer but so far I have been able to really enjoy capturing the true personalities of both my own children and other families.

I specialise in candid photography in natural light situations – which translates into this: I usually come to your home and follow you and your kids around until I am happy that I have got the “shot” that epitomises your true personalities. That might take an hour – it might take several. We might change locations in order to stimulate bored kiddo’s or I might just plonk you all on the couch and start snapping – as long as there is light.

After we are both happy with the initial shots, I will take them home, download them and have a preliminary look through them. I sort out the good from the fair and I sometimes Photoshop images – particularly if there is a boy in the family because they can ALWAYS be relied upon to scrape their chin or something the morning of the photo shoot :) .

A standard family photo shoot usually takes just over one hour.

A wedding photo shoot comprises of an initial “engagement” shoot, a FULL day wedding shoot (including a full reception – I don’t do “mock cake” ceremonies), and right through to a “Trash the Dress” ceremony, if that is what you choose to do.

Wedding photo shoots are so much more detailed, so rather than write it all here, please contact me on sarahgladmanphotography@gmail.com to discuss your wedding plans further. It’s something too personal to plonk in here – I need to get to know you!

Please feel free to wander around the Blog – it’s only new so please excuse the “maintenance” signs :)

Take care,

Sares x

Dear Sarah I have noticed your name in some scrapbooks that I have been reading lately. I am a Gladman Historian, and I see that you are married to one. As far as I know there were only three Gladman families that came into Aus; one from Ireland and two from UK. Two started out in Tasmania and One in Vic. I am researching the Gladman’s who first came to Winchelsea, Vic from Tas in 1851. They had a very large family of 16 children and a hundred grandchildren. Do you have any family connections with the Victorian Gladman’s?. I know that a few Gladman men went up to run wheat farms etc from around Donald in Vic back in the late 1800′s early 1900′s. I also think that there was an Albert Gladman who settled in the Albury District somewhere. Once they left Vic it was hard to keep track of them. Thank you for reading this message and look forward to hear from you, cheers Valmae ps I live in Frankston, Vic
